One individual can install Office on up to five computers. Please check with your local department’s IT support provider before attempting to install Microsoft software onto your Cornell-provided computer.
Your department may have have different recommendations. The Volume License Edition is a distinct version of Office that has fewer features and is not updated as frequently as the Office edition. This edition is best suited for departments that enforce version control via a managed desktop service, or for computers that are not assigned to a specific customer, such as shared-use machines, kiosks, and computers in public-use labs. We strongly recommend that you work with your local department IT support provider before installing any software onto your Cornell-provided computer.
